Magic of christmas

This is the first time in years the christmas spirit didnt reach me. The absence of snow, my going to church, our missing the disney christmas show and "Dinner for one", probably didnt do much to encourage more than the feeling of an average day. Yet our trip to sweden was filled with all the other emotions associated with christmas. Above all I was filled with joy and sadness. Joy to see the harmonious way my old grandparents handled their life. A life that is affected by slow movement, poorer eyesight, and poorer memory. Sadness to know that, knock on wood, this could be the last time I see them again.

Merry Christmas

This year my family and I are spending christmas with my grandparents in Sweden. We've decorated the tree, baked our seven sorts of christmas cookies and sent out the annual bragging christmas letter. We are in other words ready to leave the civilizaton and retreat to internett and obligation free Skåne.

My exams have finally come to an end! In a pathetic atempt to get into the christmas spirit I tried listening Josh Groban and Peter Jöback christmastunes, but that was useless. I am so rubbish at winding down after exams, but I've channeled my frustration into sewing my christmasparty dress, accompanied by Glasvegas and their christmassy song A snowflake fell (and it felt like a kiss) (check them out on http://www.myspace.com/glasvegas).

Im also getting my diet on track, so tonight Im making the girls pizza with brie, avocado and tomato topping. So far this month my diet has consisted of this;
